October Virtual Meeting: Introduction to Residential HVAC design with Russ King

We inspect ducted heating systems on most inspections, but are we doing a good job inspecting the ducts? Sure, we are looking for disconnections and kinks, but there is much more to good duct installations. Mechanical Engineer Russ King will present on good duct installations, as well as his simplified approach for evaluating duct sizing.
5:30pm Login and Socialize Join a few minutes early to sort out technical issues and chat with your fellow inspectors.
6:00pm Pre-Meeting Chapter President Paul Barraza will review conditions from a recent inspection (Attendees will earn an additional ASHI CE) (Attendees will earn an additional ASHI CE)
7:00pm Chapter Meeting Chapter president Paul Barraza will lead a short business meeting to cover chapter and ASHI business, committee reports, and upcoming educational opportunities.
7:30pm Main Speaker Russ King will have a presentation about Introduction to Residential HVAC design. (Attendees will earn an additional ASHI CE)
Russ King is a professional mechanical engineer and Senior Director of Technical Services at CalCERTS. He is a licensed mechanical engineer with 30 years of experience in HVAC design, energy codes, energy ratings, building science, and training. He is the author of the book: Introduction to Residential HVAC Systems – HVAC 1.0 and he is one of very few licensed mechanical engineers that specialize in HVAC and energy design in residential buildings.
