September Virtual Meeting: Forensic Plumbing Investigations with Mark Hunter

Home inspectors evaluate plumbing defects on every inspection. Sometimes the defects are easy to find, but some conditions can be almost possible to find or diagnose. Mark Hunter will have a presentation covering covering common plumbing defects and some of his forensic plumbing investigations. For example: chloramine degradation of EPDM rubber seals, dezincification of yellow brass valves, problematic PEX connections, and many more.
5:30pm – Login and Socialize – Join a few minutes early to sort out technical issues and chat with your fellow inspectors.
6:00pm – Pre-Meeting – Chapter President Paul Barraza will have a presentation describing his epic re-roofing project. It started with removing 5(!) layers of roofing, and also encompassed a new gable and energy performance upgrades as well. (Attendees will earn an additional ASHI CE)
7:00pm – Chapter Meeting – Chapter president Paul Barraza will lead a short business meeting to cover chapter and ASHI business, committee reports, and upcoming educational opportunities.
7:30pm – Main Speaker – Mark Hunter will have a presentation describing his Forensic plumbing investigations and the latest crop of plumbing defects.
Mark Hunter had been a plumber since 1977. Since 1994, he has been involved with litigation work, which includes: construction defect, products liability, standard of care, personal injury (burns, slip and fall) and code issues.Hunter Plumbing Consulting is a full service company offering consulting services on litigation and non-litigation matters involving plumbing.
