
March Dinner/Zoom Meeting : California Legislation Update with David Pace

Every year there are many proposed bills in Sacramento that an affect the home inspection profession. David Pace, the CREIA Legislative Chair, will give a presentation on bills that have been submitted and how they can affect our industry. He will also illustrate the lobbying efforts made by Jerry Desmond for the California Home Inspectors Legislative Action Coalition (CHILAC).
5:30pm Inspector Bootcamp Chapter affiliate John Fryer will review the Exterior section of the ASHI SOP and review pictures from inspecting exteriors . (Attendees with earn an additional ASHI CE)
6:45pm Comment Review Brian Cogley will provide a report writing analysis using member-submitted comments to improve clarity and the principles of Identification, Implication, and Recommendation.
7:00pm Dinner Enjoy a handcrafted dinner by our professional chef, Malika Henderson. Menu: TBD
7:00pm Chapter Meeting During dinner, chapter president David Pagano will lead a short business meeting to cover chapter and ASHI business, committee reports, and upcoming educational opportunities.
7:45pm Main Speaker David Pace, CRIEA Legislative Chair will give a presentation on home inspection related bills in Sacramento. (Attendees with earn an additional ASHI CE)
David Pace is a Master CREIA Inspector (MCI) based out of Brentwood, CA and has been inspecting since 1993. He has been the Chairman of the CREIA Legislative Committee since 2016 and has been actively involved in lobbying on behalf of California home inspectors in Sacramento. He is the recipient of numerous awards, including the Chairman’s Award, the Jerry McCarthy Inspector Fellow Award, and the John Daly Award – CREIA’s highest honor.
