July Virtual Meeting: Deck Inspections & SB721 Review with Paul Barraza
July 8, 2021 @ 6:00 pm - 8:30 pm
$10
Decks have become popular over the last few decades, and as many of the older decks begin to fail, the codes have been significantly updated in an effort to address common defects. In addition, many homeowners build decks because they assume it’s an easy DIY project. Finally, you add corrosion issues from new pressure treated lumber, and you have a recipe for “deck-aster.” In addition, SB721 was passed in 2018, and requires balcony inspections for properties with 3 or more units. Paul will review some of the key provisions in SB721, so you can decide if that would be an auxiliary service you may want to provide.
