July Dinner/Zoom Meeting: Bay Area NOx Ban with Paul Barraza
July 13 @ 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm
$10 – $45
On March 15, 2023, the Bay Area Air Quality Management District (BAAQMD) adopted amendments to “Regulation 9” which will prohibit the installation of water heaters, boilers and furnaces that emit NOx (a by product of gas combustion). The ban is rolled out in phases, but it begins on January 1, 2027. The BAAQMD covers the greater Bay Area from Santa Rosa in the north, San Jose in south, and to Livermore in the east. Since replacement appliances will have to be electric, it will be critical for inspectors to understand these new regulations so we can be help and guide our clients.

6:45pm Comment Review Brian Cogley will provide a report writing analysis using member-submitted comments to improve clarity and the principles of Identification, Implication, and Recommendation.
