February Dinner/Zoom Meeting: Energy Code Expert Rob Hoffman

Rob Hoffman, owner of Golden State Duct Testing will cover the ins and outs of the California Energy Code (title 24 part 6) as it pertains to field verifiable requirements such as duct leak testing, air flow, fan efficiency, refrigerant charge, the dreaded QII (Quality Insulation Installation), kitchen range hoods, and indoor air quality exhaust. What about asbestos on ducts? Join us to find out.
5:30pm Pre-Meeting David Pagano will review conditions from a recent inspection (Attendees with earn an additional ASHI CE)
6:45pm Comment Review Brian Cogley, past president, will provide a report writing analysis using member-submitted comments to improve clarity and the principles of Identification, Implication, and Recommendation.
7:00pm Dinner Enjoy a handcrafted dinner by our professional personal chef, Malika Henderson.

7:00pm Chapter Meeting During dinner, chapter president Paul Barraza will lead a short business meeting to cover chapter and ASHI business, committee reports, and upcoming educational opportunities.
7:45pm Main Speaker Rob Hoffman will give a presentation on Energy Codes (Attendees with earn an additional ASHI CE)
Rob Hoffman installed HVAC systems for about eight years before he founded Golden State Duct Testing in early 2017. As a HERs rater, Rob helps general contractors, HVAC companies, owners and architects with inspection, testing, forms, and submitting energy code compliance documents. Municipal building inspectors may reach out to a project’s HERs rater to enquire about the status of the work because it must be completed prior to final of a building permit. Rob is also a licensed realtor and real estate developer and is currently building a house in Danville.
